Working Principle
The Rogowski coil is a hollow ring-shaped coil, available in both flexible and rigid versions, that can be directly placed around the conductor being measured to measure AC current.
Product Features
- It has unique advantages for high-frequency and high-current measurements;
- It has good linearity and easy calibration. However, when measuring non-sinusoidal current or current of unknown frequency, an integrator needs to be configured for use;
- Can measure irregular conductors;
- Easy to install without damaging the conductor;
- Applicable frequency range from 0.1Hz to 1MHz;
- The angular difference is small at high frequencies and relatively large at low frequencies;
- No risk of secondary disconnection;
- Maintenance is simple and convenient.
Product Accessories
In addition to the standard sine wave with a fixed and known frequency, the Rogowski coil needs to be used in conjunction with an integrator during measurement. Since the Rogowski coil is typically used for measuring high-frequency or high currents, the measurement environment is subject to significant electromagnetic interference, which requires special attention during measurement. To minimize the impact of interference, it is preferable to use an integrator with digital output.
